		<description>I totally agree that the use to be water lily polluting our rivers has now been helping place food on the table for the many. This is our experience here in Brgy. San Joaquin Pasig City. We have been harvesting water lily along our river banks and create various designs of bags out of them. Right now we have provided an extra income for those interested in learning how to weave. We are hoping that soon our products may not only be known in the market locally but globally as well..</description>

		<description>This is excellent news.  Aquatic weeds like water hyacinth are a major factor in desertification worldwide.  Other aquatic weeds can best be controlled by profitable harvest, too.  Typha, in particular, is a good energy crop.  If you are working with clean water and soil, it is also a good food crop. But all aquatic weeds collect and concentrate toxic chemicals, so not just any can be eaten.  Investment in determining what typha is fit for human consumption could bring an abrupt end to world food shortages.</description>
