The country’s biggest and most prestigious annual international trade show on agribusiness, food and aquaculture is poised to bring in the world’s latest livestock and dairy technologies and solutions to boost the global competitiveness of the local industry.
This was announced by the Foundation for Resource Linkage and Development (FRLD), organizers of Agrilink, Foodlink and Aqualink 2009 slated at the World Trade Center on Oct. 8-10.
FRLD president Antonio V. Roces said new technologies from at least four continents would be exhibited at Agrilink by the International Livestock and Dairy Exposition (ILDEX), one of Asia’s most influential agriculture and dairy trade fairs.
Southeast Asia’s largest publicly listed food, beverage and packaging company San Miguel Foods Inc. (SMFI) has made a substantial shift in marketing and other operating strategies to beat any adverse effects of the global crisis on the local industry and the rest of the economy.
SMFI Feeds Business general manager Dr. Norman C. Ramos said this sudden change in overall business direction was influenced largely by the direct and indirect effects of the global financial crunch.
“Both big and small enterprises, from corporate to backyard raisers, have suffered from major adjustments in costs, input availability and consumer purchasing power,” Ramos pointed out.
On its fifth consecutive year of participation in the annual event, Le Club’s famous French Pavilion will feature eight diverse agricultural and food innovators-from the basic water supply and wind power technologies to the more intricate genealogical genetic selection machineries. The companies that will be featured are Bayle SA, Dosatron, Grimaud Freres Selection, Richel, Sasso, Solraya, Vergnet Hydro and Stolz.
Univet Agricultural Products Inc., the country’s leading poultry and livestock feeds supplier, led by its General Manager Ricardo Alba, recently signed with Foundation for Resource Linkage and Development (FRLD) President Antonio Roces for their participation in this year’s biggest integrated international trade show on agribusiness, food and aquaculture, Agrilink, Foodlink, and Aqualink.
“We’re excited about what Agrilink is cooking up this year. And to be a part of that is such an honor,” said Alba.
“This year will be the largest assembly of the world’s latest technologies, products, services and systems on agribusiness,” continued Foundation for Resource Linkage and Development (FRLD) president Antonio V. Roces.
